One of the first things you'll notice while fly fishing the Gallatin River mid-summer is the clarity of the water...It's amazing. Of course, in the heat of the day you'll want to hit the shadows along the banks and the deep pools. Trout don't like the sunshine. :)
Sweet peas...Plant them the first week in April and without fail they're always ready by the first week of August. You gotta love gardening in Bozeman...It's sweet! :)
Sure it's raining a little; but, some of the most epic days of fishing come with rain. Get out there and enjoy! Imagine...If you camped at the Moose Creek campground, then you could be fishing this spot right now. Still want to sleep in because its raining? :)
Today is the day to start picking those gooseberries. I can taste the cobbler already. For those of you who like to pick your berries out in the wild, then I have seen berry pickers on a few trails in the Gallatin canyon...The Lava Lake Trail is a good place to start.Ā :)
