You've probably heard the old saw that the early bird catches the worm. In the case of the lower Madison River, right now is the perfect time for early risers to be catching the early trout risers...the earlier the better. :)
A sunrise on Swiftcurrent Lake, inside Glacier National Park, is a once in a lifetime event that you won't soon forget. Imagine starting your day with a view like this...It doesn't get any better than this.
Most of us schedule our outdoors adventures for July in order to beat the inevitable smoke from neighboring smoke fires that comes sometime in August. Bozeman, and most of southwest Montana, are having a pleasant summer, however, with moderate temperatures and clear skies; so, get out there and enjoy! Take a hike in the Gallatin Canyon or fly fish the heavenly Gallatin River. :)
