Early this summer, everything is coming up green. There are only a few places that are fish-able right now too. Lucky enough, the lower Madison River is only a few minutes away from Bozeman. So, get to it...You should be fishing right now! :)
It's another glorious day in Bozeman. Apparently this whole summer thing is going to stick this time. So, if you have been dragging your feet and you have not made your plans to fish southwest Montana yet, then know that you still have time. In about five weeks, the Madison River will be looking like this...Isn't that what you have been dreaming of? :)
We're having a second day of beautiful sunshine in southwest Montana...a rare occurrence, this spring. So, what do you do?...Go fishing, of course. The Madison River in Yellowstone National Park would appear to be the best bet today. Get out and enjoy! :)
We're looking forward to summer like weather on Mother's Day, this year. Knock on wood that the water levels on the lower Maddie will be reasonable, as well; and, perhaps, the caddis hatch will be on!...fingers crossed. :)
If you're like me, then each trip out on the river is special. It's even more special if you're traveling hundreds or thousands of miles to fly fish a river. Don't drop the ball on this one. Research when and where it's best to fish your favorite southwest Montana rivers. Perhaps you'll find yourself on the upper Madison during the first few weeks of August...nice choice! :)
