The new year's warm weather continues. This stretch of the Gallatin River will be open all year long; but, it looks like the weather right now will be a lot more comfortable if you hit the river now. Get out and enjoy! :)
The new year has brought us some unusually warm weather, so far. It would be a good time to get out on the Gallatin River and do some fly fishing before the inevitable cold snap returns. Get out and enjoy! :)
It's a new year; and, it's time to start making those plans to visit and fly fish Montana. Fly fishing the Madison River should be high on your to do list too. Winter, spring, or summer are all good times to hit the upper Madison near Raynolds Bridge. :)
When you come back to Montana for the holidays, you'll soon find out that you'll have several options for outdoors activities. Do I go fishing or do I go skiing? Well, head on up to Big Sky, Montana and you can do both. Happy Holidays everybody! :)
The winter can be a very cold time out on the Gallatin River. To your benefit and despite the cold temperatures, there will be stretches of the river that refuse to freeze over. This stretch of the Gallatin River, above Taylor's Fork, will be free flowing during the entire winter. You might have to wade through foot high snow in order to get to the banks, however. :)
