The Last Winter

Going forward, I'll be treating each winter as possibly our last. I want to savor every moment in the snows of southwest Montana...They're just too beautiful to waste. Just knowing that we could lose this outdoors splendor to climate change has me already thinking about drastically reducing my carbon footprint.

New Year, New Items, And Etsy

  The year 2022 is going to bring some new designs to the Montana Treasures store. More than likely, these new designs are going to appear first on the new MT Etsy store, however. This past year has seen the incorporation of a new design tool (a Glowforge laser) in the Montana Treasures store. This new tool has allowed me to realize many designs right here in Montana, rather than using an out of State manufacturer. In fact, the Illustrated Wildlife Tiles were the first items listed on this web site that were made with the new laser. Explore Trout Country

As a fly fisherman, I have many reasons for identifying the Madison River as Trout Country; but, firstly, and for the most obvious reason, it is Trout Country to me because I have caught my largest fish on the Madison. Along all stretches of the river, from the ‘upper Maddie’ to the ‘lower’, I never know where that next big whopper is going to be pulled from.
