Earthquake Lake Anniversary

On the night of August 17, 1959, an earthquake, measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale, rocked the Madison River Canyon, creating what is now called Earthquake Lake. The Earthquake Lake Visitor Center is an excellent place to take a hike and discover the rugged beauty of this section of the Madison River.

Avalanche Lake

Are you looking for some easy fishing this summer? As long as you're willing to spend a couple of hours hiking through the mountains, past wildflowers and mountain streams, then Avalanche Lake, in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, should be your destination. Alpine lake fishing is perhaps the easiest fishing around. :)

The Highline Trail inside Glacier National Park is a must see hike that you won't soon forget. The entire grandeur of the Park is laid out in front of you...as if you are walking through a painting. Research the trail here and then get yourself to the trail head! :)
