Green Means Go

Early summer on the Gallatin River, near Cascade Creek, photo by Montana Treasures

The Gallatin River near Cascade Creek

Each year, generally during the first or second week of July, the Gallatin River finally clears up from the snow melt inundation, which started in late spring. In 2018, July 8th was the day that the Gallatin River returned to its former green color; and, the people rejoiced because fly fishing season on the Gallatin is back on. Get out there and enjoy! :)
